Members of the community have been reaching out and asking how they can help the healthcare professionals and those afflicted with COVID-19. One very important way: Stony Brook University Hospital needs an influx of iPads to keep inpatients connected to their providers and their families.
Anyone who has an iPad that is not being used, please consider donating to Stony Brook University Hospital. The donated devices will be repurposed to provide telecommunication for patients to connect with medical staff. About 100 devices of a supported iPad model are needed.
Before donation, the device should be cleaned, reset (click here for instructions), and placed in a zip lock bag if possible with a viable power chord.

Donations of medical supplies and comfort care items such as gum, lip balm, tissues and snacks have been pouring in and are greatly appreciated, as are the many video messages of support that are being sharing throughout the hospital — please keep them coming!
To maintain social distancing and safety, appointments are being scheduled for donation drop off. Please contact: Joan Dickinson, Stony Brook University Community Relations Director, at COVID19donations@stonybrook.edu or call 631.219.0603 to schedule an appointment.
